gemini8026...you need to check out shipping prices from the U.S. to anywhere in Canada...outrageously expensive. Maybe that's why MonitorsDirect doesn't ship outside the U.S.
Believe me we know. We have explored our options many times, we would love to sell to our friends up north.
The biggest problem in shipping to Canada is getting the product across the border. In order to ship a single unit we must hire a customs broker, ship it to a bonded warehouse, have it clear customs, then ship it to the end user. All the fees (2x shipping) the brokers and warehouses charge add enough cost that it would be cheaper for you to purchase it locally.

I understand. It really isnt fair. I order a lot of electronic goods from the states and it's ALWAYS an adventure. As well as with an $$$ product, many things can go wrong and with warranty work it gets expensive.
Sorry for the little tyraid. IT just drives me crazy when I see the same unit in Canada for SO MUCH MORE.
