TFT nView

I have the yellow screen that sits on an overhead projector but can't get past the startup screen. I have tried the optional connection as well as the 15 pin connection. It worked last week but I can't get it to work now. I do not have the manual. Can someone tell me where to find a manual or how to get past the startup screen. The remote has batteries that work (at least the light on the device lit each time I pressed a button and the "rear" button flipped the image as well). Trying to get this set up for the holiday party next Friday but have not had much success. Please help. Thanks a bunch.
