I've just done my first overclocking and wonder about the outcome.
Below is the tempature during Orthos benchmark, Orthos screendump and Core Speed.

Apparently, two cores has been up just over 70 ° C and I wonder how damaging this might be.
Vcore = 1.45
FSB = 103Mhz
Multiplier = x49

FSB * Multiplier (103Mhz * 49) ≈ 5048Mhz.

Orthos is at this moment gone for 2 hours without any problem but the temperature is what I wonder about.

Thanks in advance.

I just fitted my 2700k over the weekend also.

i got custom water cooling and can hit 5ghz as well. are those temps under load? or at idle?

im working towards a 24-7 overclock at around 1.3 - 1.4 volts so it lasts.

how many sticks of ram do you have?

Hi Hugostiglitz,

I have listed my complete spec below and the tempatures listed is during Load; Torture Test in Orthos.

Chassi: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Big Tower
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/GEN3, Socket-1155
PSU: Corsair AX 1200W

HD1: Corsair SSD Force Series GT 120GB 2.5"
HD2: Seagate Barracuda® Green 2TB

RAM: Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600MHz 4x8GB
RAM Cooler: Corsair DOMINATOR Airflow Fan

CPU: Intel® Core i7-2700K Processor
CPU Cooler: Intel® High Performance Liquid Cooling

However, after roughly 1 hour at Torture Test my Core Temps and Package Temp almost hit 90c... :eek:
Am I lacking cooling or have I messed a setting up?

Cheers
