SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
So I was bored at work and thought i'd look around a little, ended up putting togeather this really cheap system. (just for fun) ZOTAC G31MAT-A-E LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813500032 OCZ 512MB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model OCZ2P800512 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820227081 Intel Pentium E6300 Wolfdale 2.8GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819116091 Western Digital Caviar Blue WD800AAJS 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822136195 Diablotek DA Series PSDA400 400W ATX12V Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817822011 Sony Optiarc Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM IDE DVD-ROM Drive Model DDU1678A http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822136195 The total comes to $210.94 So just for the sake of whatever, anyone want to post anything to make it cheaper/better without topping say, price tag of $250.00 I'm also thinking maybe if you added a 3rd party cooler you could OC it cheap... Any sugestions?
i would change the dvd drive to sata (just to not have an ide cable) change the psu for a PC Power & Cooling 370w, never skimp on the psu what case are you using
Used case
actually id use an Antec Earthwatts 420w, more efficient and runs cooler.
swap the e6300 with a e5200, and then add a stick of ram
I would use this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817139008 Cheaper and great reviews. I have one of these as well along with a 450 watt and a 1000 watt.
Get an AMD 785G and Athlon II x3
I was about to suggest the same thing. For a budget build its hard to beat AMD's options and the price...
