Alright so I have a question comparing 2 video cards. The one that was suggested to me is this sapphire - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] ire%205850 The one that I was looking at getting over this one is the - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814130476 I don`t understand why it is so much better, yes the saph has directx11 and higher core clock but the evga has more memory and 448 bit compared to the saph with 256. If anyone could drop some light on this topic it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The 5850 beats the GTX 275 in pretty much everything as the GTX 275 competes with the HD 4890, not the higher end 5 series. You can't compare the cards on clock speed or memory bandwidth because the architectures are completely different.

and 1 other question for you, the saph card is ddr5 and the 275 is ddr3 and my motherboard is ddr3 would the ddr5 even work with the motherboard?

Reply to liquidicex7

Yes, the memory on the graphics card is only used by the graphics card - it doesn't matter what type of memory your motherboard has.
