I have a netgear 3700 n600 router and it has this feature that allows me to connect a usb harddrive and I believe it would let me share all the data between whatever is within the router's network.

I happen to be getting an Android (honeycomb) tablet in a couple days and I was wondering if I would be able to share music or video files with my tablet just like my window PC would via the router connected HDD. There's this product that seagate makes called "go flex satellite" that essentially does the same thing but it's portable and very expensive.

Also. I would like to know if most recent tablets (ipad, zoom,Sony S,etc) has solid state drives in them or is it something else?

no tablet that i know of has a platter drive. it would be stupid for anyone to put a platter drive in such a device. im sure they are either solid stat memory soldered to the PCB or a separate SSD. I see no reason why you could not stream data from any device on a network to a tablet.
