The question FIRST.
Temps!

I've got questions about what kind of temps are acceptable.
Should I push it more?

The Build
Asrock Extreme 7 Z68
i5 2500k
8gig Gskill 2133 Ram
Corsair 850w PSU
Corsair H100 Cooler
Cosrair 650D
Sapphire 7970

What I've got going on
X45 Multiplier (4500 MHZ)
Stock Voltage (Reads 1.265)
Rams Running 2134mhz 9-11-10-27

I've run Prime 95 for 30 minutes and Max Temp is 58C with my fan speed on low. 57C with them on High. LOW is 500% Quiter and I'll stick with low.

So? Push further?

Solution
That's a safe 24/7 load temp, going beyond 4500mhz is no real benefit except for benchmark bragging rights, there's no gaming performance increase, you're at a comfortable voltage and temperature range for longevity.

4500mhz seems to be a sweet spot for most of the 2500Ks, I've clocked mine to 5100mhz 24/7 stable, but I have better cooling than you do, and I choose to run mine at 4500mhz because it does all I need it to do, there's just no need to run it higher.

Solution
If you are at all concerned about the life expectancy of your processor I would not push it any more in fact I might suggest that you pull it back a bit. I would consider 60 Centigrade as being the maximum temperature I would like my processor to run at. You have only run prime95 for half an hour, you should run it for five hours to get to the maximum temperatures also you should consider the ambient temperature and add on the temperature difference between now and the hottest day in the year. This may seem a little bit conservative but experience has taught me that if I want my processor to last you should stick to my recommendations.

If you don't feel like running Prime for hours, try using IBT on its max settings for an hour or two.

+1 on what Ryan said. You've got a nice set up there with that voltage and your temps. Leave well enough alone :).

Thanks for all the input. I've since run Prime95 for over 24 hours, and Max Temp was 61c. I think I'll leave it just like this.

It doesn't touch this in games it's normally about 56c-57c in games, and I'm happy.
