XP won't install

Hello everyone, I have a problem I hope someone can help. I just bought a emachine W3052 and I'm trying to put a clean install of Windows XP on it, But every time it gets to point where I should press F8 to continue. The F8 key won't work but the page down and the Esc buttons work. Is there any other way I can do a clean install with windows XP

Press F Lock key or use a different keyboard.

Or go into the BIOS and set the CD\DVD drive as the first boot device and put your window cd in the drive before booting so that you boot from it and it should take you into setup !

OP revealed a loose IDE cable was the problem in another thread and left this one hanging.
