  1. None, the i7 is a quad core.
  2. i think he meant diffrence between core 2 quads and I7s 2 main things are diffrent The socket is diffrent core 2 is a 775 where as I7 are 1366, anthoer huge diffrence is I7s support hyperthread theoretically makeing work like it has 8 cores.
  3. Core i7 is a quad core and most versions include Hyper-threading. A lot of CPUs from AMD and Intel also are quad core. Which specific CPUs would you like to compare? Tom's CPU charts can be helpful to compare the performance of various processors.

Thats ok. happens to all of us once in a while.
  7. I still consider "i7" and "Nahalem" synonymous for the most part.

    When I hear i7 w/o HT, I think i5, but the new 32nm i5 has HT
  8. What I've been reading is that the Core i7 for notebooks is not a quad core cpu, is this correct? Even the tech at sony said that the i7 in notebooks is only a dualcore cpu. but I have read that its also a quad core, so I am very confused at this point on which one it is. Any help would be appriciated?
