Windows 7 -64 - disk management showing more drives that there are

Hello,
System configured with 3 raids consisting of 8 total of eight hard drives. Two raids 2 hard drives each 3rd with 4 hard drives. bios shows 8 hard drives but disk management shows the three raids + 3 additional drives of odds sizes and unallocated space.
