Admin Tools/Services

Last response: in Windows XP
Share

I accidently hit 'Disable All' in the Services tab in msconfig. I went to Admin Tools/services and had to reset all to manual or automatic and start them.

Now, each time I reboot, I have to start each one again - I turn my computer off nightly. They are still manual or automatic, just have to restart each.

Its just like there needs to be a Save button some where.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

Go back into msconfig - the Services tab has "enable all".

Thanks for your reply

My 'Enable All' button is grayed out. When I check any of these boxes or press the 'Enable' or 'Disable' button, I get msg 'An Access Denied error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log on as Administrator account to make the specified changes.'

I am the administrator and there is only 1 signon.

I've tried all that I know to do. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If the enable all button is grayed out, it means all are already enabled, I would think. Only one or the other is clickable deoending on the situation.
If something is disabled - enable all is clickable.
If everything is enabled, disable all is clickable.
Other than that, have no idea !
