Hello All!

Long time reader of the site, but its my first post, excuse my poor English.

Trying to decide if upgrade my OS hard discs or just save money for the next build, hope you all can give advice on how
spend around 200 euro.

This are my components now:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 2933MHz @ 3300MHz
Motherboard: Asus P5W-DH
Memory: 4000 MB of GeIL PC6400 DDR2
Video Card: Asus HD4850 ATI Radeon

Hard Drive for OS and programs:
X2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 250Gb in Raid0
Additional Hard Drives:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500.0 GB
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1500.0 GB

Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 214T 21" LCD (UXGA) 1600x1200 for games and apps.
Additional Monitors: LG 32LC56 32" LCD (WXGA) 1366 x 768 for play video
DVD: LG GDR8164B
DVD R/W: LG GSA-H12N

i was tinking of replace my two outdated 250Gb drives in raid0, all sata ports in this mobo are filled,
x2 raid0 and 500gb one on the ICHR7 and the 1500Gb on the Jmicron controller

Its worth replace the ones in raid atm for two WD Caviar Blacks ? or its a waste of money that upgrade ?
any better way to expend around 200 euros on this computer ? or just save for next build ?

I use the computer mostly for gaming 1600x1200, MMOS mainly, and do a bit of AutoCAD and Illustrator.

Hello gitano;

Nice computer;
I don't think changing out the Seagate Raid0 for WD Black Raid0 would give you good value for your €'s.
They would be faster of course, but not so much faster than you could notice the PC performing better.

My vote would be for banking the 200 €'s until you're ready for your next new system.

Excellent English skills by the way.
