Pci ide controller on s3210shlc

Hi,

in order to plug my old hdd, i've bought a pci ide ultra-ata/133 controller and add it to my S3210SHLC motherboard.

Unfortunately, after few second the screen go black (cursor blinking) and stop running. Diagnostic led on the mobo are red on bit2 and lsb.

The pci ide controller works on another computer. So, where is the problem with my S3210SHLC motherboard : incompatibility ? need bios upgrade ?

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Download the manual of your mobo and look for what means that LEDs, maybe can give to u a better idea about the problem and the source of this.
