If i purchase a 3way sli board and only use 2-card sli setup; can i then use the 3rd pci-e slot for a TV/caption card?

I wanted to use:
1) ASUS P7P55 WS SuperComputer LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard
2) 2-Card SLI - EVGA 896-P3-1170-AR GeForce GTX 275 896MB 448-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
3) (Some kind of good PCI-E HDTV/Caption card)

I dint now if its a problem to have a 2 card sli and a 3rd card running independently...

If this will work, let me know, and I'm taking recommendation on a good HDTV/Caption card also...

Thanks

Yes, you may use the 3rd slot for a video capture/TV tuner card. Most of those cards aren't even full size x16 slot cards. They are PCI or PCI-e x1.

Hauppauge is a very reputable brand. I can't narrow down a card as I've not used any myself but they come highly recommended by everyone I know that does.
