HELP with new motherboard

hi i'v just brought a new motherboard from ebay ms-6738 and im having probs with loding up i need to get into setup at the start up but im being asked for a password and thr]e bloke i brought it off is not helping much coz he canot remember it HELP can someone please help me i dont know what to do !!!!!!!!

I think you're kinda hosed- you might need to replace the BIOS chip or better yet, get another motherboard. Sounds like there's a BIOS password in place and I think they're pretty hard to get around.

Hi.

Go here download the manual of your mobo and read the process on page 38, with that u can delete the password of the mobo.

SAINT19, I was just going to mention that but wasn't sure if the method was still relevant. Anyway, using the Clear CMOS jumper looks to be your best bet.

thanks all ended up takeing the 3v battery out for 10mis that worked perfectly .
