i currently have the western digital caviar blue 500 gb 6gbps as my only drive with windows
and all my games etc and i just ordered a samsung spinpoint f3 1tb 3gbps because it was on sale at newegg.ca for $50 so ive read reallly good reviews on the samsung but im wondering if i should clone my caviar blue onto the samsung and use it as my os drive

does sata 6gbps really make a difference over sata 3 gbps?

Neither drive are fast enough to reach those speeds so it doesn't matter, the samsung f3 spinpoint is a good hdd. If you want speed, ssd's are the way to go

yea i know, i considered getting an ssd but i dont really want to spend the money and i only really use my computer for gaming where an ssd would really only effect load times i only just bought the samsung because ive already almost filled my 500gb wd blue in like two weeks and needed more game storage. so ive already ordered the samsung any input on if its worthwhile cloning everything to the samsung?

and both hdd are around the same speed so I'd just keep your os on the wd caviar blue
