I've overclocked my HD 6570 from:
core: 650 mhz to 850 mhz
Memory: 900 mhz to 1000 mhz

and the temperature still remains around 56°c at full load. I'm wondering if i should go a bit more high on clock or memory to get more FPS because there's certainly a huge boost already but to get higher settings on games (witcher 2) i want to go a bit higher....

Also want to mention that that temperature is due to the passive cooler and a giant fan stuck on a passive cooler which is keeping this chip quite cool tbh....

Any support would be appreciated. Thanks !

whats your default gpu core and mem core?

ive got the same card. 6570 2gb ddr3 but there are few differences between some, for example ive got 650 default core but ive seen 675 decault gpu core on some webstores..

and i got 800 mhz ddr3 mem (which is equal to 1600mhz) and in the stores ive seen same chipset cards with 1800mhz (900 dd3..)

ive tried overclocking my card as high as possible but my monitor went off few times when i went too high and had to reboot..

ive used furmark to check GPU core but when program starts system crashes so i cant check what my highest possible core and mem mhz is..

im pretty sure 1000 core and 1200 mhz memory will instantly crash..

ive tried 900 and 900 and it works but not stable... whats the difference with yours?

thanks for the help.

oh in my catalist driver settings i have amd overdrive enabled, is that ok or does that make my gpu go to 100 mhz gpu and 150 mhz mem??

how do i prevent my card to go 100 gpu core and 150 memory by itself???

ive tried omega drivers and ati catalist, ive tried atitools overclocking and sapphire trixx and furrmark gpuz.... didnt get better than this STABLE:

675: gpu core
925 memory core. (maybe 945 max, but sometimes i see strange lines appear after a while, and 950 even more)

I have core: 845 mhz
memory: 1000 mhz

I had to make some changes into the ini of afterburner and then it allowed me to overclock more and there's definetly some FPS boost and the card doesn't go over 60°c (that's partially because of my aftermarket huge a$$ cooler)
