SSD compatibility with ASUS Mobo?

the SSD you picked out IS compatible with your mobo, but you will not get the advertised speeds of 555/515MB/s because your mobo's sata2 ports will essentially hold it back to under 3Gb/s (384MB/s).

get it any, and you'll have a SSD ready for your next sata3 mobo even if it doesn't reach it's full potential now.

I know that this is an old thread but maybe someone will find it worthful.
I'm using the same MOBO and I bought SSD Corsair GT 60GB. When I connected the SSD it seemed to be working well but I was unable to install windows 7 (ultimate 64-bit) on it. Windows had started to install but after reboot it stoped. Until now I don't have a solution for this.
Also ASUS P5K SE don't support AHCI mode (which is quiet usefull for this kind of HDD) for HDD by default. If you want to use it you must find a modified version of BIOS.
