Hi all,
I have an Asus P6T se with 6Gb DDR3 (3x2gb)
I would like to stick some more memory in, to bring it up to,say 8Gb
but cant work out what configuration to use, cant seem to find 4gb sticks anywhere.
The previous ram is going to a friend so that's not an issue.
What do you advise?

Thanks
Mike

8Gb makes no sense for you would be working in dual channel, instead of triple channel.
You either stick to 6Gb or move up to 12Gb, but you probably don't need that much RAM.

Now since you have the 3 modules of 2GB each you can add one more 2GB Module and still get a total of 8Gb Triple Channel Configuration.
The trick is you have to Populate the 3 Orange Slots A1 B1 C1 and the fourth Slot is the Black one A2. This will work a One Set of triple channel Memory.

Or than you can go in for another complete set of 3 Modules of 2GB each and put it all together and populate all the RAM Slots......

This is keeping in mind that you aren't being able to find any 4GB modules....

Although if you disclose your location we might be able to find a suitable vendor for you who does have those modules on him.
Or Then you can go and search this....
