I just bought two hd4890's for a new build and haven't opened the box's yet now I'm thinking of replacing them with two hd5770's pros and cons the prices seem to be about the same.
As bluescreen said,HD 4890(and 4890 CF)beats HD 5770(and 5770 CF).
The advantage of 5770 is that it supports newer techs like eyefinity and DX11,about DX11 well there isn't a DX11 game which is out yet so you have to wait for a DX11 game to out(such as Dirt2) and check its performance.

when DX11 games start to come out would they be compatable with a card that doesn't support dx11 or do you think they'll issue drivers to fix the problem?
dont buy anything form the 5___ series that is not 58__...the 4890 is a solid card. 2 shoudl just about shake the earth. If you want better you will need to go up to 5870
O yea....ATI has a bad habit of making unstable drivers when they relice a new card. There is a chance the driver for the 5___ card might be a little shaky while the 48__ drivers are well refined.
