I am looking to purchase this PC over the next couple of months. My budget is 1200-1500. It will be used for gaming, home usage surfing the web, watching movies.
I dont need a monitor got a really good one right now.
I would like to use the i5 core with an ASUS mobo. Just not sure what mobo. New egg and tiger direct are just fine with me.
As far as overclocking maybe.
This is my first build so I am a little bit nervous about taking this on. But look forward to the challange.

That PSU will give you enough power to do crossfire on the 5870 in the future.
You still haven't told me which resolution your monitor has so can't really recommend a GPU and about the case, just get a good brand and size that is of your preference. Thermal compound & heatsink look okay
