I bought RX-530SS power supply for my new PC. I was trying to check before installing. But by switching ON, no light or power supply's fan moving. Does this mean power supply is dead? or.....

Your PSU won't kick on until you press the power button on the case, with your PSU connected to your motherboard. By turning the switch to on, you have just provide power to it.

You should be okay, unless it does the same thing when connected to your motheboard.

It wont turn on if its not plugged in (to the motherboard).

Raidmax is not a quality power supply maker.
