hey guys just wanna ask b4 i buy
i have an antec antec twelve hundred case
3 2gb 1600 ram sticks (6gb)
5 Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB 7200RPM 32MB SATA 3Gbs
1 Western Digital VelociRaptor 150GB 10000RPM 16MB SATA 3Gbs
dvd burner
i7 720 cpu
with Antec TruePower Quattro 1000W ATX Power Supply

what i am wondering is will the 1000w power supply be able 2 take "2 xfx hd 5770 in C/F"

i have done a bit of diggin and found

i7 uses 270w under load
hd 5770 use 108w (216w)

You actually have a lot more power than is necessary.

Here are the ATI recommended power supply requirements for the new ATI Radeon HD 5770 and 5750 video cards that just became available:

450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connector recommended

600 Watt and two 75 watt 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode

if any1 knows where some are in stock around the AU$215 mark can u give me a yell out
and i seen in alot of forums people say should go for the 2x4890 but i want directx 11 and the HDMI to shoot the sound across to my tv speakers as well and not use my pc speakers
whens directx 11 games comming out anyway

Can you post the link that 2x5770 killed a single 5870 ?
According to the reviews i read,2x5770 perform pretty much like a single 5870,it sometimes beats the 5870 and sometimes loses to it but the difference isn't much,so i would like to see the review that 2x5770 kill a single 5870 please
thanks :)

Yeah that's what I saw too, some wins some major surprising loses (lost significantly to the HD5850).

To me I would worry if it weren't for his issues with availability, and over time, the memory limitation probably will scale with the workload and not be much of an issue, but still something to be sure of with the early DX11 games/demos maybe giving some insight into the effect of limited bandwidth.
