Suggestions invited - decent graphics

Hi there,

I have PC with below configuration:

CPU - Intel C2D E7200
MoBo - Zotac n610i/G7050
RAM - 2 GB - DDR2 - 800 (I'll add 2GB more that's max that my mobo takes)
HDD - WD 640GB (16MB Buffer)
Case/PS - Generic 400W (of strictly OK quality. Yes, I'll upgrade if required)

Request you to suggest
(a) the most powerful Video card this conf can support (& really work)
(b) Optimum level Video card considering that I play games only occasionally (@1440 X 900 or lower) and mostly PC is used by my family for watching Videos, editing photos / videos etc (say, I wish to keep PS the same for now).

a GTX 260 or a 4850 will be ok to run games at decent quality for quite some time from now.....U will want to upgrade the PSU if u r to buy a new card....

HD4670 based on your specified use and no need to replace PSU

My sincere thanks for your ideas. I was kind of inclined towards HD4670 (due to low power req), but was also thinking it may not really suffice in all games. So HD4770 was also idea in my mind. Now, I believe, I would be getting a good quality PS and get either HD5770 or HD5750 (not finalized yet). Just a question though, would adding a Raptor HDD add any value to low to medium res game-play that I do? And would an older chipset like nForce 610i derive any benefits out of it?
