hello all - now i am all set to build a new computer [monitor, keyboard and mouse included] and at first i thought of getting one centred around the rampage ii extreme and the i7 920 but apparently there are cheaper options out there with the lga 1156 [thanks to 'build' for tipping me on this] which will let me spend more on things like graphics card, case, monitor. can anyone give me some good ideas for my build?

Is the monitor, speakers, keyboard + mouse and OS included in the €1,100 budget?

By the way, hardwareversand delivers to France for a flat rate of €20 and they will also assemble the PC for your for also €20 (but you should build it yourself because it's fun :)  ).

so in the end i ended up ordering everything from that site except the graphics card cuz they didnt have it in stock!!! lol i was dissapointed but one good thing is that i went back to my local store today and they had 4870 x2's at sale for 230 euros and gainward gtx 295's at 290 euros. do you think i should get one of these build? or what about going back to my original idea of dual 4890's for 270 euros?

Yeah it's very hard to find 5850's/5870's currently. If you're really in need of a graphics card, the 4890 would be the better alternative. I have one and it can play any game I throw at it on my 1920x1080 resolution monitor. You could get one 4890 for now and just add a second one later on. It will be probably go down in price a bit more in the coming months.
