Hyper X SSD problem

Hey guys I just went and bought the Kingston hyper X 120g today.. Im getting the advertised read speeds.. Around 510-520 in crystal disc mark but my write speeds are only around 170 mb/s.. I'm plugged into my sata 3 ports.. Any reason my write speeds are so low?

System specs -

msi p67a-g45
I5-2500k
Asus gtx 570
6g skill trident

Are you using the first SATA III port? This seems to be an issue with some drives but I would expect it to affect reads and writes. Are you using AHCI mode instead of IDE mode?

yes, im in ahci with the latest drivers and in the first sata 3 port
