E6750 vs e8500

Worth the upgrade? Will also go from 2 gig of RAM to 4gig. Was going to run SLI video cards but the 8800 I already have has been D/C'd by BFG. Just mainly for gaming.

Also, I am reading that the e8X00 series is to be avoided due to cost. Would it be dumb to upgrade from an E6750 to an E7400??

well u can find deals on em there gr8 i found a new OEM E8200 on ebay for 85.00 free shipping only thing is it dont come with heatsink and only has a 30 day warranty. But i suggest if u cant find an e8xxx for under 100 i wouldnt get it and honestly id go for the E8200 and overclock it its cheaper and u can overclock the crap out of em and will actully be faster then a stock E8500 cause FSB is higher

Do not upgrade your current cpu to another dual core period. Upgrade video card and get more ram.

Just OC your CPU or buy a Core 2 Quad.
E8XXX series duals are overpriced.

You should upgrade the ram though.
