I have a laptop. Its HP 530. I'm running windows 7 ultimate on it.
its specs are:
RAM-1.00 GB
CPU-Intel Core 2 Duo (1.6ghz)

the prob is wenever i surf the net, the RAM usage in the task manager is always above 50%. it reached 93% wen i ws playing Cafe World on facebook(a game on facebook which uses adobe flash player to run). I am extremely terrified at this...i recently installed windows 7...it was never like this when i used xp....i used 2 play GTA San Andreas wen i used xp or vista on low res....but now i have a fear that the RAM may fail i play the same in win 7....but the CPU usage is not much...it stays between 0%-50%...i ws thinking that win 7 is not suitable for my specs....is it so?
if not how can i fix this prob?

please help!

RAM won't fail even if it's used at 100%. Lots of systems use 100% of the RAM and they work fine.

Hi.

Your RAM don't have any problem, the problem is that for the OS that u have and the games that U play (GTA San Andreas) your current amount of RAM and speed processor isn't the best.

The minimum will be 2GB, or 4GB that is the "standard" today.

I would keep Windows 7 and increase memory to 2GB (2 x PC2-5300 1GB modules)? If you don't know how to install it, here's a video that should help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqJhaYgGP3Y

U have a very good OS, just need 4GB of RAM.

U can go with a 2x2GB kit.

He can't install 4GB on a laptop that's limited to 2GB.

Double-check the model number in the back of both laptops. If one detects 4GB (the HP 530 won't), then they are not the same model number. They might look the same, but they are different.

You said that your friend installed 2 x 2GB. Does his laptop detect 2GB or 4GB? If it detects 4GB, then it isn't an HP 530 Notebook.
