I recently built my first computer 2 weeks ago today and in that amount of time I have gotten 7 blue screens of death. Whenever I get it I restart the computer and it works fine then. I have no clue as to why it does this and was wondering if anyone could pinpoint the problem. The specs are:

AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Processor Model
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
SAPPHIRE 100283L Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16
GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard

If any other information is needed I will provide it. Thanks in advance. I am not a happy camper when my computer goes to a blue screen

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forums.

I have not. I am still new to a lot of computer tweaking and such so I do not know how to go about and adjust the memory speed and timings in the bios. Is there a guide I could follow on how to do that?

Would either of these 2 sites be good enough to set me on my way?

Not sure about on your motherboard, but on mine I have to press F2 while booting up to get into the BIOS. As soon as you turn it on, just start tapping F2 so you don't miss the window of oppor-tune-ity ('cause you tune the pc, lololol). Then from there, you can go to something that looks like it has to do with Performance or overclocking and set the CAS TRCD TRP and TRAS to what the manufacturer has specified.
