Testing ATi cards

I've been looking at lot's of reviews and benchmarks of the new 5000 series of cards and I've noticed that all the tests are done on Intel boards. I wondered how the cards would fare on a AMD board with Hybrid Crossfire, according to TH it improves the performance of cards noticeably, here are the results for Radeon HD3450.

The difference would less dramatic with a better card but might still be enough to take the HD 5770 past the GTX 260 which they're just below in performance on the Intel boards.

Or have I got this entirely wrong?

Unfortunately you have got it wrong
ATI's Hybrid Crossfire works ONLY with a 780 series chipset and a 2400pro, 3450 or 3470.
These are all extremely weak performers, even when combine.
