I burn iso from another already bult system but the new system does read the iso/install disk in the cdrom.
I was thinking the cdrom write speed was the problem when it came to reading same on the cdrom of the new system but it appears not to be the case.
I have burnt over CDs and all of them can be read by the cd-drive when installed on another machine but not on the new one.

I keep on getting
'disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter'

have you set the cd/dvd drive to be first boot device in BIOS/start up
