HP Optical rattling noise, is it supposed to sound like this?

I can hear something very small rattling around when I move it, it's feint but it's there. Is there something loose in mechanical drives that usually makes a similiar noise? or should I just RMA the drive and not even bother testing it? I can't test it btw because I don't have all my parts yet just asking if i shouldn't waste my time.

it could be as simple as a small piece of plastic, but no it should not rattle.

I opened it up and it seems it's coming from the middle rotor but I can' tell at all what it is.

Sometimes when you shake a CD drive the head assembly can move which you can hear, there may be nothing wrong with your drive.
