I'm currently looking at attempting to build a pc for close to $400. I would like opinions on computer hardware, and links to cheaper/better value parts if possible. It would also be nice to know about any compatibility issues that I'm not aware of.

Compatibility wise its pretty good.
The only concern that I have is that I don't trust power supplies that come with cases. They have a tendency to be bad and could fry the whole computer.
I would suggest going with the Antec 300 that comes with the power supply. It is a very good one and it will only cost you ~$30 more.

If you aren't planning on doing anything real intense with your build then that laptop isn't a bad idea.

I fear that this deal ends today...good find though. I'm not planning on buying this PC quite yet...

The Laptop intrigues me....

Have you had any personal experience with the antec 300? From the looks of the reviews, it looks like it has some drawbacks.

EDIT: A friend of mine claimed that my 1GB of RAM would bottleneck my whole system. Has anyone found this to be true?
