I have a Dell Dimension 2400 with an Intel 3D Extreme Graphics Video Card. Do not need gaming capability, just web surfing, etc. Can I purchase a widescreen monitor with a higher res. than 1280X1024 and have it work o.k.?

Not used for gaming, just surfing. Once in awhile one or two of my grandkids download a game site for temporary use.
