$1000 Gaming Build

I'm building a pc for a friend, and need help choosing components that fit into his budget.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: 2 weeks

BUDGET RANGE: $1000 after rebates

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: General gaming, upcoming first person shooters and RTS games.. modern warfare 2, starcraft 2

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Need everything, so make sure the budget fits a cheap mouse and keyboard

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg.com

PARTS PREFERENCES: Whatever gets the most bang for his buck, and however much upgradeability he can afford.. prefer mid tower case, around 20" monitor

OVERCLOCKING: Probably not

CROSSFIRE: Probably not, but if a crossfire/sli mobo and psu fits in the budget maybe.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Would prefer either 1080 or 1050

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Just want the best gaming pc that he can get for the money, can windows 7 be installed fresh from the student upgrade?

Monitor: I'm Sorry but unless your friend wants a 15'' monitor, you are going to have to exceed budget. A 20''monitor will end having to go over a little bit But with everything above it totals $940 dollars approximatly. If he is a student he can MS Windows 7 for $29.99

-If you want to save money look into older sockets/chipsets, DX10 Gpu's not DX11, and cheaper ram. But then again the game performance and upgradeability will start to tick-tock downwards the more you shave off from the hardware.
