Hi guys! I new to Overclocking so i have some questions to ask. First here is my spec:

CPU: Core i5 2500k
CPU Cooler: CM Hyper 212 EVO
Mobo: Asus P8Z68 V-Pro/Gen 3
RAM: 2*4GB Corsair DDR3 1600MHz (1.5v)

So i overclocked using this guide ( to a 4.5GHz clock rate without a voltage pump (the vCore was around 1.3). As i tested with Prime 95 and monitor the temps with Real Temp i got to around 70 to 71 Celsius degree. My questions are:

1. Is that temp is a stable temp for that clock rate?
2. Usually, what is the best temp you got under load using the CM Hyper 212 EVO cooler?

Thank you,

1. Yes that is a stable temp (the Sandy Bridge has a max of 98C, so you're plenty safe).
2. That varies so widely you can't get a 'good' answer. It depends on case, fans, pressurization, ambient temps, etc etc.

Don't stress, you're good to go...
