Positive and Negative on case headers

I have a Thermaltake M9 case and a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P mb. After spending most of the day installing everything and overcoming numerous physical challenges I stumbling on the finish line with something that should be dreadfully simple. I'm trying to connect the case headers to the mb and there is no indication in either manual, or the wires, on what is positive and what is negative. I do see a small arrow on the underside of each connector but there is no indication if that refers to positive or negative. Help!

What are they for? The HDD and Power LEDs? If so then go for trial and error, if you guess wrong the light wont come on, nothing bad will happen to the LED>
