Hi i was going to upgrade my dell dimension 3000 to a new graphics card, but i have no knowledge in that area ><. I would like to have it play games like COD 4 and half life. Please list any system specs i would need to post in order to get a valid response :D

The first thing you need to do is replace that 250 watt PSU. You can't run the graphics card you listed with that PSU at all.

Also, what resolution is your monitor?

Right click the desktop and select anything relevant to resolution, graphics or display. It's a little different between operating systems but you'll find it listed in there.

The first thing the OP would need to do would be to replace the computer, the psu won't even come into play.
The D3000 does not have a PCI-E slot.
