Add 2*1Gb or change to 2*2gb mem?

i need help in choosing the right upgrade. i have a amd phenom 2 x3 720 and gigabyte ga-ma785gm-us2h and 2*1Gb Gskill 6400 memory... i'm planning on upgrading my memory. i still have 2 dimm memory slot available. i was thinking of adding 2 more 1gb ram to make it 4GB or should i sell my 2*1gb gskill and just buy 2*2Gb memory?

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Toms's hardware forum.

Both options are valid, but a future if u want add more RAM, the best configuration is 2x2GB.
