I work at a computer shop (www.cyberconxion.com). And we are mostly a
LAN Gaming center but we also build systems. My question is that
right now i am using a borrowed g4 powerbook (400mhz) and its getting
dog slow. Should i wait for the G5 powerbooks ($2100) or build
myself a nice laptop for under 1400 (1.7 p4M 2mb cache?) I mostly
use it for War Driving (KisMac on the Mac and Netstumbler on the PC).
So what do u guys think?

Only you can answer that question. I'd go with a faster Mac for graphics &
security but that's just me. I tend to use my Windows laptop & desktop more
often than my Apple iBook G3 900mhz, 640mb (maxed out), but then I have a
slow bus speed and its only a 12" (too small for my preferences). My
pictures & many websites look 10x better on the Mac than they do on the
Windows machines and there's still no virus for OS X so the latter two would
be important factors for me if I were doing any kind of online gaming or
wanted to see prettier graphics.
