Sigmatel Driver compatiblity issue Upgrading e510

I just upgraded a Dell e510 with 2G RAM, an ATI HD4670 GC so my son could play Batman Arkham Asylum. all appeared GREAT until the game crashed 3% in. Eidos said the driver for the sound card needed to be updated before they willl help since it is from 2005, but I cannot find one that works on Dell. the one I located on dell.com gave out an error message saying it was incompatible when I tried to execute it. BTW, I can't use the HDMI sound on the new 4670 because I don't have anything that takes HDMI on the other end. BUT we're happy with the sound. After I installed the GC the sound disappeared for a few hours before I re-enabled the SigmaTel and disabled the ATI sound. (I am also having major issues uploading the new drivers for the gc, but that's another story)

I have copied some of the info from the DX diag,here. It is the basic info on the system and the TWO drivers that I found on Dell.com. One thing I notice is that the bios on my e510 is A05 and that the newer of the two drivers has A04 after the name. why is that? any info anyone can supply would be greatly appreciated.

As your an XP SP3 user, did you install Microsoft UAA driver before audio drivers for HD stability?

would this be part of Windows Update? Because my Windows update is up to date....i will check.
