I have an AMD 4850e processor and a M3N78-VM asus board with the HDMI port. Currently my system uses xp home - I would like to build a HTPC system - low power. What do I need to consider to be able to view HD tv from my verizon (DSL) cable box through my monitor. I have a USB tuner that I have on my current system to a 24" monitor.
Can I use xp and utilize the HDMI on the card?
What do I need - before I tear my system down to rebuild it?
