This is what I have so far. Like at the top as soon as that 5850 gets into stock I'm pulling the trigger!

My two questions are Newegg only carries 2 different 5850 video cards. For whatever reason XFX's 5850 has been deactivated. Should I step up to the 5870? I was hoping to crossfire 2 5850's and kind of keep the price down since the 5850's are pretty darn close to crossfired 5870's in one of toms articles. AND is it worth the extra $100 for the I7 860 or just the I5 750 for what I have listed what I want to do?

The problem is that everyone wants 5850s right now and not that many are being produced. I am guessing newegg deactivated it because XFX wont give them a date for restocking and they are tired of everyone asking them about it. I cant imaged XFX has stopped making 5850s unless ATI has done something wierd.

The build looks good. Don't forget to look for combo deals. Here's one for your motherboard and RAM that saves $15.

I don't know if you need to purchase an OS with your build, but here's a combo for your CPU + 64-bit Windows 7.

Shortstuff you rock.....thanks for finding that for me. Do you see ultimate having an advantage over premium? And that does suck about XFX not pumping them out as fast. I'll probably order this stuff tonight or tomorrow and just wait for a video card to come in. Thanks for the input.

Professional has some advantages over Home, but I don't see any important changes moving from Professional to Ultimate

Although you might want to go with 3x2gb because the i7 is tri-channel:

That's another option for the RAM. I, personally, would take CAS 7 DDR3 1333 RAM over CAS 9 DDR3 1600 RAM. If you decide to go with the RAM suggested by cory1234, here's a motherboard + RAM combo.

That combo deal only saves $10, making the two choices nearly the same price.

Only the 9** series i7s on socket 1366 mobos use triple channel, the rest use dual.

+1

You do NOT want to use a triple channel RAM kit with the LGA 1156 socket.

Copy! Thanks for the replys. I'll let you know how it goes as soon as the 5850's come available.
