New Build for a 4870 OC

Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H Motherboard w/ AMD Phenom II 550 CPU w/Fan Bundle=====179.99

Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X 4096MB PC8500 DDR2 Memory - 1066MHz Dual Channel (2x2048) CL5====102.99

I have everything else needed and of course the Sapphire 4870 OC 1GB GDDR5 card

Will a 600 WATT psu be enough and what do youy think of the build?????

  1. Edit your post to match the form in my sig. Definitely go for an AM3/DDR3 setup. The number of watts needed to power a system depends on how efficient the PSU is - in other words, what exact PSU is it?

  3. Because i bought it from a friend of mine who has a crossfire setup and he didn't need it. So i got the card for only 100 dollars from him....
  4. I think this PSU: Although more expensive compared to the 600W PSU you suggested, this one will work stable.

    WHOOPS... wait that PSU i recommend you doesn't have enough PCIe power plugs for the 4870....

    This Antec model has enough PCIe plugs...
