Mobo and core temp go up after setting upSpeedFan?

hi!

i just set up SpeedFan, and when i am gaming, my Motherboard temp goes upto 56C and my core temperature go upto 52C.
Gpu temp is ok @ 64-70C, CPU temp is ok@ 39C and all the fans are working...

WTF????

mobo: Asus M4A78-E
CPU: Phenom IIx4 920 @ 2.8Ghz
GPU: Sapphire 4870HD 1Gb Vapor-X

So what temps are you comparing the SpeedFan temps to? SpeedFan might display slightly different temps than the BIOS/probes/etc. It's pretty normal to see increase in temps while gaming.

yeah but CPUid monitor reads the same temps...

and aren't these high temps? for a machine like that?

With a GPU temp of 64-70C, I'd say that a mobo temp of 56C and a core temp of 52C while gaming is probably normal. My 8800GTs in SLI mode generally run 54-56C under gaming loads (49-52C normally), all the while my core/mobo/CPU temps are about the same or a little lower than yours.

You could always try uninstalling SpeedFan and if your temps drop, maybe SpeedFan is somehow influencing the temps.
