Anti-aliasing is not applied to the PC entirely. It's only featured in most games in the past few years. It can be applied to any game, really, by using certain programs depending on what graphics card you have. The higher the "AA" level, the more smoothing of textures you'll see. It will also negatively affect your frame rates in the game it is applied to, especially in more recent games.
