I'm plan on building a i7 920 system and was thinking about using my 32in LCD HDTV which has a vga input. Really two questions. Would this be a good substitute for a monitor, and what would be a recommended graphics card to use, considering the high resolution? Really looking for the highest performance/price ratio for my needs. Thanks.

HD 5850 will run everything on that TV/monitor will full settings and it's easier on the wallet and power supply than the nVidia equivalent.
