I have the artic freezer 7 pro with mx2 compound and gigabyte z68 ap-d3 mobo. (elite 430 case with 1 front in fan and 2 back out fans)
On a gentle oc of 3.8ghz (auto voltage + everything else with turbo boost turned off), the temps reach 78c during intel burn test (very high level using 4/8gb memory. Is this unusual?

That seems really high to me. I have the MSI z68-gd55 g3 mobo, Noctua NH-D14, HAF 922. My 2500k clocked to 4.5Ghz, ran IBT set to use 12GB memory for 10 runs and the temp maxed at 70C. My ambient temp was only around 20C (68F) though. Are the ambient temps really high there?
