New System

Hello Everyone -

This is my second system (I built the first 5 years ago and I'm <ahem> rusty). I have an i7 extreme 975 processor on an intel board (DX58SO) that I bought from a friend who sold it to me cheap (he decided he didn't like the board and had another 975). I wasn't planning on building one but I felt I couldn't pass up the opportunity to build with Intels' top processor (what I'm told, anyway). I've read a bunch of reviews and done quite a bit of research on building a new system, including scouring newegg everyday for component deals. So far I've only bought a case (Antec 300) and a PSU (Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W Crossfire ready etc). This system will be used primarily for a photography business and audio recording, but also gaming and general purpose use. Here are my thoughts on addt'l hardware/software:

*Either a SSD or rel. small sata hd to run the OS on (300G?). Not sure if the SSD is worth the extra $$, but I've read some good things - brand?
*1TB+ Hard Drive (just for data) - haven't decided on brand etc.
*Not sure on the video card...don't want to spend too much here, but also don't want to waste an i7
*Memory - Seems as though this board's specs call for ddr3 1066 RAM, so I was going with Patriot RAM(6 G): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
*CPU Fan/cooler - No clue
*Windows 7 64bit
*Backup software - Acronis True Image (I've used Ghost extensively in the past, but I've heard bad things about their newest release for W7)

Already have monitors, printers, etc, plus a sound card that I'm dubious will be supported by W7 (an old echo card, it has four 1/4" cable receptacles for guitars, preamps etc), so I may have to buy a new sound card.

Any suggestions or thoughts? I'll be reposting with issues I'm sure once I delve into this!
Thanks! :D
