I have an HP xw4600 x38 motherboard. I have finally decided to get 2x5850 because a 3.5Ghz Q9550 doesn't "apparently" bottleneck @1080p and its a better deal than one 5870. My question is : Does my motherboard support CrossFire? My theorie is : The x38 chipset support crossfire. Hers the specs from the manual:
2 PCI Express x16 Gen2 Rev 0.7 (75W+75W)
1 PCI Express x8' (x4 electrical)
1 PCI Express x1
Intel X38 Express North Bridge/ICH9R South Bridge
Intel x38 BEARLAKE MotherBoard
